Gun Range

We exposed Braven to his first gun. We went out to the gun range, so Ryan could practice for hunting season. Braven did just fine. But, half way through he started getting teary eyed. He just sat on my lap the entire time. Then the boys went down to check out the targets. It was a great experience for Braven, since he will be alittle hunter himself.

Salmon Snaggin'

Ryan, Braven, and I went on our first fishing trip. Salmon season opened up this week. It was 80 degrees outside, so very hot, but very hot. Braven spent most of the time throwing rocks in the river, causing the fish to run away from daddy. Ryan caught 3 fish. We thought it was hard snaggin them, i don't think Ryan's ever done that before. Since the season just opened the fish were far and few. But, i've been told wait awhile, and the river will be nothing but Red Salmon. So i'm sure we'll go out again. After Ryan was done, we put Braven in the river, thought he'd want to go out there with daddy, but he really didn't like it. It was cold river water. He was scared of the fish, thought it was pretty cool that they were in a bucket in our kitchen.

Laundry

This is Braven's way of helping me with laundry. He has one pair of underwear around his stomach, and another wrapped around his shoulders.

30 weeks

WOW! Where has the time gone. I'm 30 weeks today, only 10ish more. I'm starting to feel very large, and waddle like a duck! Oh, the joys of growing a baby. We're planning on maternity pictures in about 4-6 weeks, i'm so excited. I wanted to do this is Braven but never got around to it, so i'm doing it this time around. I start going every 2 weeks to the midwives, until i think 36 weeks, then i'll go weekly. The one thing i'm starting to get nervous about, is not sleeping. I can't even imagine what its going to be like.

Minor Surgical Procedure and the hunting channel

I decided to have a skin calcification removed from my arm on Wednesday. I think i've had it all my life, and never really bothered me til now. It was beginning to get really itchy, and i couldn't itch it, because it was very hard. And Braven started trying to pick it off. So they will send the bump to pathology, and i'll get my stitches out in 7-14 days. Braven sure loves looking at the stitches. He stands there and says, "OH-OH". Ryan has Braven hooked on the outdoor channel. We watch it all the time. Ryan now has taught Braven that he was to be quiet during the hunting shows, so he puts his finger over his mouth and says, "SHHH". I think they're both getting excited for hunting season to open up, i believe Bear opens in acouple weeks, and deer season is October-November.

Happy September 1st

Hard to believe that summer is over, and fall is on its way. I have various pictures from the last week or so. Our clinic that we go to is expanding, so on Friday when we went for our midwife check-up, Braven got a construction hat, and a construction rubber ducky for the bath. Eureka had their county fair this pas weekend. Braven was able to see lots of different animals, and we had supper there too. And last week we went to Kalispell, and Braven got new shoes, size 8! Then today I took a picture of Braven having his snack while watching Barney.
